60" Diameter aluminum spiral staircase. Four line spiral stair rail system using (3) 1 1/2" round intermediate rails and a 2" round bronze top rail. Bronze spiral staircase handrail has been chemically treated to start the patina process. Pan type spiral staircase steps and landing - this step is inverted and pan faces up, allowing the contractor to install tile inside for traction and design. Once this spiral stair was completely fabricated it was primed and painted.

Spiral stair application: Indoor swimming pool. In a high moisture environment, aluminum was the best choice for the money. Stainless steel would have been a better choice for this spiral stair but more expensive. Galvanization would have also been a good finish but would have looked uneven. Aluminum is smooth, looks finished once painted, and makes a spiral stair fit any surrounding.
